Guest Rules: How to be a Great Guest

 flowers

The Hostess Gift

An invitation to another’s home is a privilege and honor, so the good guest would behave as such.  Guests should bring some type of gift such as a bottle of wine, flowers, or even a single rose as a token of appreciation.

Note: It’s much easier for the host if flowers are already in a vase.  Dollar stores usually have nice ones in stock.  One dollar and done!

Must-Follow Rules

Guests should avoid picking up or reading notes laying around, entering rooms uninvited, putting feet up on the furniture, or indulging in anything unoffered.  After the gathering, guests should also write a thank-you note thanking the host for including him/her.

Food Review: Trader Joe’s Animal Crackers

Tub of Fun Found in Trader Joe's Animal Crackers If you are like me, every time I see a box of animal crackers, I relive my childhood years of drooling over a box decorated as if it is a red circus boxcar filled with exotic animals.    My favorite cookie/cracker was the elephant.   Therefore, when I noticed a tub --yes an entire tub-- of animal cookies on a Trader Joe’s shelf, I squealed like a little girl and promptly tossed one in my cart. Relationship Advice for a Lonely Woman

Is He Really Interested or Just Playing the Game? My little story may seem a bit slanted: a bad man taking advantage of a young single mother.  However, the following events could happen to anyone who is lonely and overworked.  Let's begin with a short back story of a young woman who innocently gave a player the right tools to use against her better judgment.  Our young woman wasn't ready for the dating scene.  She is a single mom with two little boys under the age of three.  Between working full time, housework, and baby time until midnight, she had little time to think about men.  Heck, she barely had time to think.  Yet, she was lonely.  Lonely women must send some sort of hormonal signal to those lying-in-wait.  Because he sure picked up on it.  The Player and Miss Lonely Miss Lonely takes her little ones to a daycare where one of the caregivers is a male (yes, introducing the playe...
